We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to fill a Trainee Accountant position in our Lagos office. As a Trainee Accountant, you will play a key role in our accounting team, assisting with daily accounting tasks and learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions, including income and expenses, in our accounting system
- Manage vendor invoices, bills, and client invoices
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries, making corrections as needed
- Assist with payroll, quarterly taxes, asset inventory, and cost accounting tasks
- Collaborate with experienced accountants to gain insight into core accounting functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable Nigerian university (minimum Second Class Honors, Upper Division)
- Maximum age of 25 years old
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new accounting software and systems
